THIS JUST IN!!!!
MassDevelopment, in partnership with the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC), has awarded the Clinton Council on Aging funding in the amount of $15,600 through the Taxi, Livery, and Hackney Transportation Partnership Grant Program.
This grant will be used to provide Clinton Seniors with transportation to non-emergency medical appointments and to facilitate delivery of essential supplies such as food and medicine to residents in need.
The Clinton Council on Aging has partnered with Clinton Livery, Inc. to provide these services to Clinton’s seniors at no charge to the senior.
Currently, the Clinton Senior Center operates two vans for transportation needs through the Worcester Regional Transit Authority (WRTA). This grant will be servicing the unmet needs.
We are very excited to be able to offer these additional services to our Clinton Seniors.
This grant will enable us to bring Clinton Seniors to towns not currently serviced by the WRTA vans. Any senior who is in need of transportation should contact the Clinton Senior Center by calling the dispatcher at 978-733-4747 ext. 309. 48-hour advance notice is required. We would like to extend our gratitude to Clinton Livery for partnering with the Clinton Council on Aging to provide this much needed service to our senior residents.
