As part of EPA's Lead and Copper Rule Revisions, water suppliers in Massachusetts are required to prepare a full inventory of the drinking water service line materials that make up the Town’s public water system.
Establishing an inventory of water service line materials and identifying the location of any possible lead water service lines is the first step towards getting the lines replaced.
The revisions are intended to protect children and communities from lead exposure risks and support effort to remove lead from drinking water.
