Contract Tracing Covid 19 Guidance

Updated on 2/9/2023. This information was originally posted on 1/4/2022 and is still in effect.

January 4, 2022, the  Montachusett Public Health Network's Covid-19 Response Team will begin making calls to persons who have tested positive in Clinton.

If you test positive for Covid-19, you may receive a phone call from a staff member of the Montachusett Public Health Network Covid-19 Response Team (phone number 978-602-2356).  The purpose of this phone call is to provide you with guidance for your isolation period, ask you questions that will help control the spread of Covid-19 and support you with any resource needs, treatment needs or questions that you may have.  Staff members of the Montachusett Public Health Network Covid-19 Response Team will never ask you for your social security number, bank account information, credit card numbers or money.  Discussions with staff members of the Montachusett Public Health Network Covid-19 Response Team are confidential.

If you do not receive a phone call, you will instead receive a text message from the Montachusett Public Health Network Covid-19 Response Team  (text number 978-464-8665).  The text message will lead you to a safe and secure digital questionnaire to answer questions that will help control the spread of Covid-19 and to request support with resources, treatment or questions.  Your responses to this questionnaire are confidential.  If you do not complete the questionnaire within 24 hours, you will be added to a list to possibly receive a phone call from a staff member of the Montachusett Public Health Network Covid-19 Response Team.  Please note that responses to the text message are not monitored.

The Contact Tracing telephone number is 978-602-2356

Please call 978-602-2356, if you have Covid 19 questions regarding test results or any other related questions.

Telephone calls are answered 10 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Saturday.

Positive Covid-19 ALERT

Anyone who gets a positive home self-test is encouraged to seek lab testing - a PCR test - to confirm the diagnosis.

NEW ISOLATION GUIDANCE

If you tested positive for Covid-19:

Stay home for at least five (5) days.

If you do not have symptoms or your symptoms are resolving, you can leave your home after five days. Please wear a mask for 5 days after you leave your home. If you have a fever, you should stay home until it resolves.

Contacts: You must alert any contact if you have exposed them. If contacts are fully vaccinated and boosted, they should wear a mask for 10 days and seek testing on day 5 after exposure. If they develop symptons, they should be tested as soon as possible and stay home.

Exposed and unvaccinated people should stay home for 5 days and continue to wear a mask for 5 more days when not at home.

If exposed, unvaccinated and cannot quarantine contacts must wear a mask for 10 days and seek testing on day 5 post exposure.

Please call your primary care doctor or the Town of Clinton Public Health Nurse at 978-365-4154, if you require further information.

As of January 11, 2022, the Board of Health will no longer be publishing Covid-19 case numbers.  Due to the abundance of home testing kits, accurate numbers are no longer available.
